Joseph Brant
Joseph Brant was the leader of the Mohawk Indians during the American Revolution. He sided with the British in the war. During the Saratoga campaign Brant led 500 Indians along with the 4000 British and 4000 German troops.
Horatio Gates
Horatio Gates Led the American troops that had fallen back from the British attack on the North Eastern American colonies. He gather up all the men that were retreating and had them set up a base camp in the Saratoga area. Eventually the British arrived and two battles were fought the first was lost by the Americans but the second and final was won forcing the British general to surrender his army.
Benedict Arnold
During the Battle of Saratoga Benedict led an unplanned charge into the British lines. When the troops saw him charging into battle they rallied behind him and charged forward. With supporting fire from Daniel Morgan and his riflemen the British line fell apart leaving a gap for the American forces to surge into.
Daniel Morgan
Daniel led riflemen during the battle of Saratoga and many other
battles. In the battle of Saratoga he and about three hundred men hid in the trees and picked off enemy artillery captains and men. During the battle Benedict Arnold led a charge into the British lines. Morgan and his followers gave them supporting fire and help the break through the British lines.
